FREE Family Play Days
New Program!
Nature in Your Neighborhood
Parents and children ages 0-5 are invited to join Ithaca Forest Preschool for a morning of exploring, stories and fire at our beloved Trillium Camp located at 4-H Acres (418 Lower Creek Road, Ithaca, NY).
Forest Play Days are a great way to get out into the woods with your kids and experience total nature immersion. It’s also chance to look into whether a forest preschool might be right for your family!
We believe the seeds of a deep connection to nature are in each of us from the time we are born, and we look forward to learning and playing together with your children! Bring water and snacks; there may be opportunities to cook on the fire!
If interested, you will have a chance to meet Ithaca Forest Preschool Staff and learn about our philosophy and curriculum.
This event is FREE with advanced RSVP.
Upcoming Dates:
Attention all families with young children! Did you know you can learn new ways to connect with nature right in your backyard? This new program is a guided experience from Ithaca Forest Preschool staff in various neighborhoods around the area. Discover a local park right near your house and learn nature skills you have never seen before!
A typical morning at this program may include fire building, harvesting, nature crafts, and more. The whole family can learn something new to keep busy outside on both a hot summer day and a cold snowy day.
This program is for pre-school aged children, but older siblings are welcome too!
Our upcoming Nature in Your Neighborhood Session is taking place on Sunday, November 8th, 9:30-12:30, at McDaniels Park at Hook Place, Ithaca, NY.
